As an Experienced RV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of recreational vehicles, including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and camper vans. You will leverage your expertise and mechanical know-how to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering superior repairs, enhancements, and servicing. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Excellence: Perform accurate inspections and diagnostics on RV mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems, as well as HVAC units, slide-outs, and appliances.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Execute comprehensive repairs, replacements, and adjustments on RVs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers to understand their needs, explain service recommendations, provide status updates, and offer advice for preventative maintenance to enhance vehicle longevity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service manager, fellow technicians, and parts department to ensure timely and efficient repairs. Offer insights and input to continually enhance service operations.
- Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and environmental standards when working on RV systems, tools, and hazardous materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies by participating in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and manufacturer certification programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an RV Technician or in a related field (automotive, marine, or heavy equipment service experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of RV mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, with demonstrated troubleshooting expertise.
- Proven ability to work on RV slide-outs, generators, levelling systems, and appliances.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer-oriented mindset, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Certification from the RVIA/RVDA Technician Certification Program is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
